The 16th Green Dialogue will discuss the Rising Green Wave

The 16th Green Dialogue which will be held in Istanbul on the 18th of January will bring together all organisations and individuals affiliated with the Green movement in Turkey to discuss the ‘Rising Green Wave.’

The discussion on the Rising Green Wave is the latest in the Green Dialogue series which brings together everyone interested in the movement every year, so that we can debate green policies, exchange views, share experiences, and support processes emulating the experience.

The first panel will assess the success Greens have had over the past few years, especially in Europe, within the context of world politics. We will debate the ever-serious climate crisis and the social and political movements that are developing to challenge it. We will talk about the response European Greens have for demands for climate justice and social justice, and the success solutions bring in the realm of politics.

The second panel will question the social, economic and ecological domains in which Greens have been, for some time now, striving against the rise of right-wing populism. We will look closer at the policies which the Green movement has developed around individual liberties, democracy and human rights, and the alternative it creates against right-wing populism. Especially, we will consider the opportunity for solidarity around green policies, that is created by demands around issues such as the climate crisis, the right to clean water and the right to clean air.

Activists from Turkey and Europe call all who are interested in the movement to have dialogue on the 18th of January at the Taxim Hill Hotel for the 16th Green Dialogue, organised by the Green Thought Association and the Council of Greens.
