Climate Change and Energy

We work to develop holistic policies to meet the challenges of the ecological crisis that global warming and climate change are causing. We fight for the fast and radical mitigation of carbon emissions so that we can stop climate change, and for the limiting of fossil fuel use, and we support work on climate change adaptation. We oppose a model of development based on fossil-fuel use, and instead we propose a just energy system and transition with local, sustainable, renewable alternatives at its core. To achieve this, we argue for the development of policies that view processes as a whole from the production to the use of energy. We conduct research projects and conferences to shed light on the policies and practices that cause climate change and for the promotion and adopting of their sustainable alternatives.
