The second Climate School, which is the educational step of the project “Green Climate, Green Municipality” co-operated by Green Though Association and Bornova Municipality will be held on 3rd and 4th of May in Bornova.

The First Climate School was held in March, in Izmir. We discussed basic knowledge about climate change, local and international actions against climate change and current situations both in Turkey and around the globe.
On May 3-4,2018 we launch the second module of climate school about urban policies focusing on mitigation and adaptation. We expect to meet with participants wishing to extend their knowledge about climate change.
Istanbul Policy Center Senior Scholar and Climate Studies Coordinator Dr. Ümit Şahin and Environmental Engineer and Researcher Dr. Tuğba Ağaçayak will conduct two days Climate School. The topics are:

- Fight against climate change
- Waste management and greenhouse gas mitigation policies in cities
- Carbon budget and climate policies from global perspective to local
- Air quality in urban areas and climate change
- Adaptation and mitigation in urban policies: Principles and Examples
- Workshop
