Bu sene 6.sını düzenlediğimiz Yeşil Ekonomi Konferansı mevcut küresel ekonomik sistemin yetersizliklerini ortaya koyarak, insanlığın bugün karşı karşıya kaldığı krize cevap olarak küçülme önerilerini ve küçülen bir ekonomik modele doğru geçiş önerilerini tartışacak.
Humanity is now at an important juncture given the challenges brought to surface by the Triple Crisis of 2008. Today, we are consuming %50 more of what our nature’s biocapacity can supply in one year. We reached, even go beyond the planetary limits. Is it possible to continue with the business-as-usual scenario in which economic growth has been put as a panacea for all the problems ranging from poverty, rising inequality to environmental degradation? Or should we really start to question the idea of endless economic growth?
This year, at the 6th Green Economy Conference, we will discuss the deficiencies of the existing global economic system. The seminar will provide a discussion degrowth proposals in answering the challenges that humanity faces today; which will be followed by transition proposals of degrowth.
